Vickie is an acrylic & mixed media artist. Â She lives in Port Franks, Ontario where she moved with the purpose to open an art studio and workshop space. Art By 3 has been in business for 12 years now and, it has been named as one of the hidden Little Gems in Port Franks, featuring her and her husbandâs artwork.
She is also a painter and a glass artist. They have taught in local schools and really enjoy seeing the kidsâ faces light up when they realize what they can do is really special.
âI absolutely love working with glass & mosaics, since there is a natural transition with my fused glassâ.
She can create gorgeous pieces to include in her mosaic works and, her handy husband is a metal artist, who help creating the bases & backers for her.

 She enjoys working on big projects, and she is continuously doing research to learn new ways to work with mosaics. Her works are deeply influenced by the beauty of nature and its colours.
Vickie wanted to share her love for mosaics and started mosaic workshops three years ago and offers many workshops during the year. âI get very excited when students get hooked with mosaic. âAll my students have enjoyed the classes and Iâm thrilled that some of them have pursued this art form.âÂ
âMy advice to anyone wanting to get into mosaic is, of course, go for it!, do some research and take classes to find about the right substrates, adhesives, grouts & sealers.â
